About JumpCart Ordering System
JumpCart is a hosted application running on the Internet. Hosted applications
require little to no IT involvement to set up. Simply log on to JumpCart from any terminal attached to the Internet to get started. There is no hardware to purchase or software to install or maintain. We do that all for you. When a new release of JumpCart becomes available, it is automatically updated on our servers and available to you. Rest assured that the system is safe and secure running on an offsite secure server facility that has posted 99.98% uptime over the last 7 years.
JumpCart provides the features you need in an inventory management system. In addition to being extremely inexpensive to implement and adaptable to existing workflow processes, JumpCart is:

How JumpCart Works
The compact JumpCart bar code scanner is about the size and weight of the remote device you use to unlock your car doors, and with only two buttons, it’s simple to use. Just scan the items you’d to like to record into or out of inventory. Bar codes can be scanned from an individual item, shelf label, order guide or a catalog produced using JumpCart. All required bar codes are easily created by the JumpCart system with no need for special printers. Any inkjet or laser printer will work.
At the end of each day—or any time frame you choose—simply plug the scanner into the USB port of any Internet-connected PC and all of the information is uploaded to JumpCart’s hosted system. JumpCart automatically creates orders for any needed items based on your inventory usage and sends the person responsible for the location an email telling them of the pending order. Once the purchase order has been reviewed it can be sent to Office Value for fullfillment!
The hosted JumpCart software lets you easily specify order quantities, reorder points, product numbers and preferred vendors for all inventoried and non-inventoried items. You can set static or dynamic reorder policies by item, track separate usage and order units of measure, and create custom fields.
When JumpCart creates an order, it shows you the item, vendor and delivery location. Once you approve or edit the order, you can automatically place it!

Another aspect of the JumpCart scanner that I like is I can scan an item's barcode multiple times in order to get the quantity I want. This way I don't have to change as many things in my shopping cart before I checkout.
I also like that I am able to order items straight out of Office Value's catalogue. Instead of finding the item I need online. I can scan the barcode on the catalogue page and then scan the barcode number associated with the item in the small packet given to me with the scanner.
